Brisk Encounter
Left Malta a couple of days ago, can't help but feel a wave of sadness.
The city was like no other; the locals were kind, there was a constant breeze, the pasticizzerias, or more specifically, the Sphinx, did not disappoint, and the sun was so warm. People chose to acknowledge you, there wasn't this sense of hustle and bustle, where people chose not to remember your face from yesterday or brush past you as if they had somewhere to be. People were open, warm, and they recognized you and what you said your plans were, and asked how your rendez vous went and what you planned on doing next. As silly as it sounds, people cared, and that was something incredibly refreshing to familiarize with.
Oh Malta, until next time.
